Ermanos Craft Beer and Wine Bar turned a crisis into an opportunity by engaging the City of Tucson’s “Streateries” program to build a temporary outdoor venue in the parallel parking, on-street area in front of their brick and mortar venue. This provided additional outdoor seating during a time when patrons were reluctant to enter the indoor location due to the high Covid numbers in Tucson. SBDC assisted in the visioning of the outdoor venue. The City of Tucson now has under discussion making the temporary Streateries permanent.

We applied for and received a National Science Foundation SBIR Phase I funding grant for our vascular surgical simulator. We work with the SBDC at CEI (biosciences incubator) and Lou provided input on our proposal and commercialization strategy.
